2022 Health and Safety Policy Update

Last updated 6/14/2022

Pumphouse Players is proud to serve a diverse body of artists, including those who may experience chronic illnesses. Out of an abundance of caution and desire to continue to serve our community, the Board of Directors has enacted the following policies in an effort to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 on our participants and our operations. In addition, it is the recommendation of the Board of Directors that all participants and patrons follow CDC guidelines, including vaccination when possible.

CAST/CREW MASKING

Masking requirements will be determined by the "community level" of Bartow County, as determined by the CDC. When the level is "low," masks are optional. At this time, the Bartow County community level has remained low for multiple months. When the level is medium or high, masks will be required for all rehearsals, from the time cast and crew enter the rehearsal or theatre space (lobby, stage/house, green room, CAA building, etc.) until they have exited the building. If in use, cloth masks must be close-fitting, fully cover the mouth and nose, and be secure under the chin. Respirator masks such as N95, KN95, or KF94 are recommended. The community level may be accessed here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/science/community-levels.html

SYMPTOMS

Anyone demonstrating symptoms that may be related to COVID-19, including a temperature of 100.4°F or greater, may not participate in rehearsal at that time.

COVID-19 EXPOSURE

Any cast or crew member who is made aware that they may have been directly exposed to or that they have contracted COVID-19 should notify their Director, Producer, and SM as soon as possible.Contact Tracing: To the best of their abilities, show personnel will notify any cast/crew and volunteers who may have been affected.Anyone who has contracted COVID-19, whether or not they are experiencing symptoms, may not return to the rehearsal or theatre space until the following conditions are met. Out of an abundance of caution, this policy applies regardless of vaccination status or previous recovery from COVID-19.

  2. A COVID-19 test taken at least five (5) days following exposure is negative; AND
  3. They have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without taking any fever-reducing medication.
ACCEPTABLE TESTS

At this time, Pumphouse Players will accept the results of a negative PCR test OR a negative professionally administered or supervised antigen test. Negative at-home antigen tests will not be accepted.

AUDIENCE MASKING

Masks are strongly recommended for audiences. Signage will be posted recommending masks and, when possible, masks will be made available for audience members.

MEET AND GREETS

Indoor, post-show meet-and-greets are currently allowed. Any participation in meet-and-greets or stage dooring is completely optional for cast/crew.

PROTOCOL CHANGES

Pumphouse Players reserves the right to adapt these safety protocols in response to the state of the pandemic. Show personnel will notify cast/crew if changes have been made.
