About Pumphouse Players

Pumphouse Players, Inc. is one of the oldest, continuously running community theatre companies in Georgia, active for over 45 years. Pumphouse is based in the intimate, 70-seat, historic Legion Theatre, a converted 1940s cinema, that puts the audience right into the action. With opportunities for adults, teens, and kids, Pumphouse prides itself on its blend of professionals and amateurs that create high-quality entertainment for Cartersville and Bartow County.

Get Involved

Since 1975, Pumphouse Players has been producing high-quality plays and musicals for the delight of the community. We continue this tradition with our mainstage season each year.

Pumphouse Unlimited brings more than the mainstream with challenging, boundary-pushing plays, improv, workshops, and special events like our downtown Ghost Tour.

Our Junior program serves children and youth ages 5-18 with various fee-free and low cost productions, workshops, and more! This program is currently being expanded and reimagined.

Through our Pumphouse Playwrights program, Georgia playwrights can apply for a digital or in-person developmental staged reading to prepare their work for the community theatre market.
