Want to Pitch In?

Pumphouse Players is primarily a volunteer-led and volunteer-run organization, made for the community, by the community. Our actors, directors, crew, designers, and front of house folks volunteer their time out of a love and passion for the Arts, and a desire to preserve space for Performing Arts in the Cartersville and Bartow County areas. We absolutely could not operate without community members pouring their love into our shows, events, and our historic theatre home. We are so appreciative of all the time and effort shared with us!

If you’re interested in getting involved in creating and keeping space for local Art, there are many ways you can help. Here are some ideas:

  • Volunteer for Front of House during our shows and events! (See below!)

  • Join the cast of a show as a stagehand, technician, or other backstage crew member! (Training provided.)

  • Use your special skills and talents (e.g. organization, hair styling, makeup artistry, painting, crafting, decorating, public speaking, event planning, etc.) to become part of our team!

  • Join us for a work day, decorating day, clean-up, or organization project!

  • Become a member and join one of our committees, like fundraising, marketing, play reading, and more!

There are lots of opportunities that aren’t normally thought about. We believe there’s a space for just about anyone who wants to work together to achieve goals. Not only does this help us “put the Art in Bartow,” it’s also a great way for you to network in the community and develop your professional skills. We can’t wait to help you figure out where you fit in our community!

You can check out more specific opportunities and upcoming events below, or get in touch with us to let us know you’d like to be more involved!

Front of House Team

At our shows and events, volunteers at our Box Office and Concessions bar provide vital customer service to our patrons, and we are so grateful to this team! Front of House volunteers earn FREE tickets for themselves or friends and family to use at our shows.

Our volunteer process couldn’t be more easy to manage, as we provide checklists and helpful tips for all our folks. We want to make it as easy and enjoyable as possible for everyone who is so giving of their time.

While our Box Office is staffed by trained personnel only, our Concessions bar is open to anyone to volunteer! It’s a great way to get started. After getting oriented to the Concessions bar, anyone is welcome to get in communication with Stacey if you would like to learn more about our Box Office team.

Our Front of House volunteer coordinator is Stacey Bern, who regularly sends out emails with volunteer opportunities. If you want to be added to the Front of House volunteer email list, please sign up below.
