Ring My Bell Ramona

Join us for a Zoom reading of the hilarious new comedy RING MY BELL RAMONA by Karen Ruetz on June 6th starting at 7pm!

ABOUT THE PLAY

Pastor Brownfield has the perfect life – a devoted wife, and the respect of his community. But, the Pastor has a naughty secret and when he gets an email, will he risk everything he stands for to avoid exposure?

Karen’s plays have been described as “a little bit naughty and a whole lot of funny!” The audience that will enjoy this show the most is adults ages 18+.

Pumphouse alumni John Edwards, Ann-Marie Thomas, Ginny Slifcak, Mike Davis, and Christie Fisher, as well as Pumphouse newcomer Karen Togel will lend their talents to the screen, as directed by Pumpie alum and TheatreExtreme President Meghann K. Humphreys.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT

Karen Ruetz is a longtime Pumpie with acting, directing, and other technical credits under her belt. Most recently, she directed Men Are Dogs and appeared on stage as Sister Augusta in Drinking Habits. Her comedies For A Good Time, Mary and A Good Move were previously read as part of our Local Playwrights Series for new play development. During the week, Karen is a freelance graphic designer.

ABOUT ZOOM READINGS + TALKBACKS

We know that our actors and audiences are really missing opportunities to enjoy art, and we’re ready to see you again in the best, safest way we know how. It’s our goal to produce #ArtforEveryStage, now including YOUR home!

The online reading of Ring My Bell Ramona will air over Zoom on Saturday, June 6th at 7PM. An optional moderated feedback session will follow so you can be a part of the process of bringing the play to life! Audience feedback is an important part of the playwriting process and one of the most direct ways you can help support new art.
