What is Giving Tuesday? It’s a global day of generosity that takes place on December 1, 2020. It’s an opportunity for people around the world to stand together in unity, to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and heal. That’s something we feel like we could really use this year.
2020 has been a monster of a year, full of unexpected twists and bends. Together, we can turn all the hardship and surprises into something wonderful as we work to safely bring our three essential programs (Pumphouse Mainstage, Pumphouse Junior, & Pumphouse Playwrights) back into the physical space.
We know you’ve been waiting for your chance to laugh at our next farce, or clap at our next curtain call, or head backstage for your next performance. And we’re ready, too. It won’t come without its challenges, but we’re prepared to meet every challenge, exceed expectations, and emerge from closure with a fresh and restored vision.
We’ve already shown that no matter what comes our way, we’re prepared to continue striving to fulfill our mission of creating artistic opportunities to the Cartersville and Bartow County community. While we’ve been using our virtual events to tide us over and help us grow as writers, performers, and directors, we know that nothing can compare to live performances for live audiences.
This #GivingTuesday, we’re taking the opportunity to celebrate our history, our achievements, and our legacy, as well as our bright future. We certainly hope that you’ll celebrate with us!
We’ve thrived for almost 50 years under the banner that theatre is for everyone. We believe in making a home for creators in every stage of life, from childhood to retirement and beyond. When you support Pumphouse Players, you become more than a Patron of the Arts. You become our champion.
With you as our theatre champion, we can accomplish great things.
