Becoming a member of the Pumphouse Players isn’t required to enjoy our shows or to participate in them, but as a member you get to enjoy the benefits of being a part of the theatre family. For local actors, technicians, makeup artists, costumers, stage managers, and directors the PHP brings you into the fabulous life in live theatre! The Pumphouse Players can be called a social club that puts on plays and a lot more. You’ll be invited to members-only events such as our annual awards show (The Pumpies!) and will have the opportunity to vote on important theatre issues.
It’s also a fantastic benefit to your wallet! A $20 annual membership gives you a $4 discount to all shows for one season – worth up to $32 if you attend 8 shows. A $100 lifetime membership gives you all this forever as long as the PHP produces shows!
Pumphouse Player Membership benefits:
- $4 off any individual ticket purchased by the member
- Eligibility to vote on the Annual Pumpie Awards presented in August
- Eligibility to vote for the Executive Board every two years
- Eligible to serve on the Board of Directors

We are an all-volunteer community theater and rely on people in the community to perform in our plays. Every production has open auditions at which everyone is welcome. No prior acting experience is necessary! In fact, some of our best performers and most consistent members had never acted before coming to one of our auditions. We are always on the lookout for new talent, whether you are a teenager, have grandchildren, and everywhere in between.
Every season is carefully chosen to reflect a variety of plays, including dramas, comedies, thrillers, and classics. We mix well-known plays with those from new playwrights or just some undiscovered treasures. If one play doesn’t match your interest or have a part just right for you, there is sure to be one elsewhere in the season so keep checking. For a list of upcoming auditions, visit our Auditions page.
If acting isn’t your cup of tea but you still love theatre we also need people to work in set design, costuming, lighting, sound, and help in the lobby. The actors are only part of what goes into putting on a play. Once you have gained some experience you can also become an Assistant Director or even a Director. theatre is incredibly rewarding, fun, and enlightening. We hope to see you soon!
As a non-profit organization, there are many things our hard working volunteers wish for. Here is the place where we can collectively list those wishes in the hope that somewhere out there is someone ready and willing to help us out.
